Description (from Rebecca)

This product is a generic for Refresh PM, the ointment that has been out of production since 2017. If you have used Refresh PM for a long time, chances are, you will find this slightly but not very different. If you have used the Walmart Equate generic for Refresh PM, you should experience this one as identical.

There are a lot of ointments on the market - though most of them have had some availability issues at times ever since production of Refresh PM was stopped. Most lubricant eye ointments are simple products: they contain petrolatum and mineral oil, and most of them also contain lanolin alcohol. The primary difference between the various ointments is simply HOW MUCH petrolatum and how much mineral oil. I believe one of the reasons Refresh PM (and LacriLube, made by the same company) has been so popular for so long is that it has more mineral oil (42.5%) than any of the other "name brand" ointments - which have, at most, 20%. Too much petrolatum seems to be irritating for some users.

I've been recommending the Walmart generic ever since the Refresh PM problem started, however, at times there have been availability issues even with the Walmart one, so I eventually decided to stock an equivalent here at the shop. I hope you find it helpful! Please post reviews so that others will know how it compares to Refresh PM.

TIP: If it seems a bit too runny, try refrigerating it... I have heard that suggestion from several people now.
