    About Cleanser for Tranquileyes Foam

    • 1 oz bottle
    • Cleans, softens, moisturizes foam pads and cushions

    Description (by Rebecca)

It's very nice - many of my customers like it a lot - but if you're wondering whether it's necessary, the answer is no. You can use baby shampoo or an antibacterial liquid soap to clean your Tranquileyes foam as well.

    Description (from the manufacturer's literature)

A silky cleanser specially designed to clean tranquileyes¨ moisture pads and eye cushions, while softening and moisturizing foam itself. Ensures an increasingly comfortable and hygienic experience with each use. Available in 1.0 fl. oz. Made in the USA.

    Ingredients:

Purified water, Sodium (C14-16) Olefin Sulfonate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate, Polysorbate 80, Diazolidinyl, Urea/ Methylparaben Propylene Glycol, Butyrospermum Parkii Seed (Shea) Butter, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile) Extract, Gentiana Lutea (Gentian) Extract, Equisetum Hiemale (Horsetail) Extract, Hypericum Perforatum Extract, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Extract, Polyquaternium-10, Citric Acid, Fragrance

This cleanser is for washing the moisture pads and cushions of your Tranquileyes goggle. The moisture pads should be washed daily and allowed to dry completely before the next use, which the cushions can be washed less frequently.

    Cleanser for Tranquileyes foam

It works great and you should not need a drop. I use a little bowl, put a drop of cleanser in and add water.

    Convenient Cleanser for Tranquileyes

Very convenient to just squeeze a drop onto each pad and clean. Great for cleaning inside behind the removable foam, as well.

    Probably should be five stars

It is probably unfair to give it a four star but while I use the product every morning to clean the foam inserts I am not quite sure why it is necessary and never sure I get all the soap out of the inserts (and I use very little). Needless to say that adds up to being confused as to whether I am doing it right and if it is effective. I will continue to use it just to be on the safe side of my quandary. Will residue soap in the inserts harm my eyes? What is being cleaned? It is possible that a FAQ on the Dry Eye Shop site will solve all this but I may have missed it.

    Anyway - I like it.

    DryEyeShop

    Hi Kenneth,

Per the manufacturer, "A little goes along way, and this soap doesn't require as much rinsing due to the small amount of suds created." You want to keep the foam clean for hygienic reasons, especially when using ointments/drops/gels in the eyes or products on the face at night. You'll just want to make sure the foam rinses clean of any suds when you're using the cleanser.

    Best,

    Aidan

    Dry eyes mask wash

I have tried other types of gentle wash liquids, but come back to this one. It cleans and rinses well. My mask does not have a odor after drying.
