    About OCuSOFT HypoChlor Gel

    • Contains hypochlorous acid gel 0.02%
    • 2 fl oz (59mL)

    Description (by Rebecca)

This is the gel version of HypoChlor spray. These products have hypochlorous acid, the same active ingredient as the popular products Avenova (0.01% concentration) and Heyedrate (sorry, I'm not sure what the % is for Heyedrate).

Gel-type lid hygiene products are a relative rarity! The ones I know of right now are this one and the Oasis Lid & Lash Gel Cleanser. For some users, gel is the gentlest for their lids.

I don't have personal experience with the HypoChlor products in general, so please post yours, especially how you feel it compares to the other hypochlorous acid products!

    HypoChlor Gel

I have been using OCusoft HypoChlor % hypochlorous acid spray for a year. I wanted to try the gel version of this eyelid/eyelash cleaner to address my inflammatory crusting and blepharitis debris. In addition, my significant other is being pharmacologically treated for squamous cell carcinoma/actinic keratitis laterally to his left eye. The treatment results in significant epithelial debris on the eyelid and lateral aspect of his eye. Listed on the packaging of this gel are additional reasons for use for him: "immediate care of minor irritations to the skin; cleansing minor cuts, minor scrapes, and minor burns (the latter from inflammation in his case). This product is working very well with 1-2 uses each day. I am sharing this product with his dermatologist since it appears effective. The gel is soothing with little irritation applied with a lint-free pad.
