    Optase Intense has recently joined the ranks of sodium hyaluronate drops on the US market. The preservative-free bottling technology they use is similar (but not identical) to some other familiar names like Oasis and Freshkote.

    Unique Preservative free formulation for moderate to severe dry eye. Provides long-lasting relief from intense Dry Eye symptoms.

    Use within three months from opening the bottle.

    Use by the expiry date, see stamp on the bottle.

    Contact lens compatible.

    Drug facts

    Active Ingredients

    Glycerin 0.2%

    Purpose: Eye lubricant

    Uses

    • For use as a lubricant to prevent further irritation
    • May be used as a protectant against further irritation
    • To relieve dryness of the eye

    Warning

    • For external use only
    • To avoid contamination, do not touch tip of container to any surface. Replace cap after using.

    Stop use and ask doctor if

    • You feel eye pain
    • Changes in vision occur
    • Redness or irritation of the eye lasts
    • Condition worsens or lasts more than 72 hours

    Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed get medical help or contact a poison control center right away.

    Directions

    Put one or two drops in the affected eyes as needed.

    Other information

    Use only if tamper evidence seal on the cap is intact.

    Do not store above 25C / 77F.

    Excellent !!!

    Difficult to find.. An excellent product. I wear RGP contact lenses and place a drop in each eye at bedtime and wake up with clear comfortable eyes.. Most nighttime products are oily, and you wake up with a reside around your eyes plus not always moist and refreshed..

    Soothing drop that is not as viscous as a gel

    I use the Optase drops when my eyes need something more than a drop, but I am too busy to use a viscous gel. It takes only a few minutes to see clearly again after using the Optase, whereas it takes much longer for my eyes to adjust after a gel.

    Relief for dry eyes

    My ophthalmologist recommended Optase in lieu of using the blood eye serum. Too early to see much difference but it does give relief from burning and dryness. Unfortunately, it does not last very long since I am using it 4-5 times daily and at $30 a bottle it is expensive. Maybe a savings plan for frequent use might be helpful.
