iLidClean is a soft, simple implement you can use to help keep those lid margins clean and clear of debris and build-up. I found it pretty comfortable and simple to use, both on its own and with some lid cleansing foam applied.

This product was designed by Dr Katherine Mastrota, a popular optometrist in New York who has been working on dry eye for a very long time... if you've ever heard of the Mastrota Paddle, a tool doctors have used for many years to express the meibomian glands in-office, this is the same doctor.

Personally, I am a bit nervous of touching things to my lid margins. I didn't have any trouble with this one at all, and I have used other things like NuLids with no concerns.

However, I would generally recommend that anyone using tools (other than eyelid hygiene wipes and such) to clean their eyelids get some input from their doctor on the safest techniques. No matter how gentle a tool, if you use it wrong you can give yourself an abrasion. There's some awfully scary videos floating around on YouTube of people using all kinds of inappropriate things on their eyelids. Common sense about safety and medical advice is always highly recommended.
