    About the EZI

    • Ring style lens inserter
    • Helpful alternative for insertion challenges
    • Please be careful in choosing the right size, and consult with your lens provider!

    Description (by Rebecca)

I first started stocking the EZI ring applicators for scleral lenses back in 2015. As with all lens plungers, they are not for everyone, but they are really valued by certain users. For some people they seem to make all the difference in being able to get the lens in. One of the advantages is that it frees up most of your insertion hand to help with the lid spread.

How do you choose the right size inserter? The manufacturer's packaging says that the mini/hybrid version is for lenses 13mm or less. Occasionally there have been issues about size selection, and we cannot provide you with failsafe advice about this. But if you have lenses 15mm or more in diameter, you probably need the one for scleral lenses instead. Please make sure to talk to your doctor and verify your lens size.

    Description (from the manufacturer's literature)

The EZI Lens Applicator ring provides these unique features and benefits:

    • One finger lens insertion
    • Lens self-positioning
    • Less air entrapment
    • Proven safe and effective
    • Works with mini-scleral and hybrid lenses 15mm and smaller
    • Flexible band fits most finger sizes
    • The EZi Lens Applicator ring is made of pliable medical grade plastic. The ring expands to accommodate a range of finger sizes.

    Great solution

As a 40 year user of soft lenses I recently changed to hard lenses needing applicator to insert. Was having trouble adapting to plungers. Since I was used to using finger to insert for so long, the ring applicator worked better for me

I’m a NWA wearer of scleral lenses and have great difficulty and getting them in my eyes. Thought the ring would help but it hasn’t at all.
