    A lid cleansing product from one of my favorite companies... I really enjoy the feel of this one on my lids. (My other favorite is the standard Ocusoft foam.) For some reason I have found my lids easily get irritated by some of the other products with tea tree oil but this one seems to have just the right balance for me. 

    Description (from the manufacturer's literature)

    Our proprietary Gentle cleanser removes dirt and makeup from eyelids and face. Tea Tree Oil helps skin feel clean and healthy and helps reduce blemishes. The Chamomile and Shea Butter hydrate your skin. Especially formulated to be non-irritating. After use, your skin is left feeling smooth and silky.

    Ingredients

    Purified water, sodium (C14-16), Olifin Sulfonate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerine, Polysorbate 80, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Oil, Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile) extract, (and) Gentiana Lutea (Horsetail) Extract, (and) Hypericum Perfortatum (St. John's Wort), Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Extract, Butyrospermum Parkil (Shea Butter), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Polyquaternium-10, Phenoxyethanol (and) Ethylhexyglycerin, Citric Acid.

    What is Tea Tree Eyelid & Facial Cleanser used for?

    Tea Tree Eyelid & Facial Cleanser is used for maintaining good eyelid hygiene. One of the most common causes of dry eye is blepharitis/meibomian gland dysfunction, where chronic inflammation of the oil glands in the eyelids results in a poor quality tear film that evaporates too fast due to lack of oil in the tear film. Keeping the eyelids clean and free of debris helps maintain healthy meibomian glands. Consult your doctor about whether you can benefit from a lid hygiene product and if so which specific product they recommend. There are many products available, most over the counter but some by prescription only.

    Instructions for use

    Squeeze one pump into moistened palm. Lather and gently wash face and eyelid area. Rinse well with warm water.

    Eyelid Hygiene

    This is definitely my go to for good eyelid cleaning and I will always buy the "Gentle Formula" as it doesn't seem to aggravate the ocular rosacea as much. I use it about once or twice a week in the shower to keep eyelids clean with much less outbreak of the dreaded rosacea.

    Irritated my eyes

    I'd been using Blephadex foam for years, but then the company bought cheap dispensers that wouldn't work half the time. I read the reviews for Gentle Formula and they said gentle, with dispenser that worked. Yes, the dispenser worked well, but the irritation started on day two of use. Kept hoping I maybe wasn't rinsing off the product well enough, but after 5 days it was obvious, it was the product that was causing the irritation.

    eyelid cleanser

    Most cleansers have a preservative that is irritating to my eyes. This is very gentle. I use it at night.
