I have used it 3 times and have had success. I did noticed that I had solution in the bowl and was not sure if that was suppose to be that way

This little item is a hidden gem. It works for me like a charm. I had to do a few “dry” runs to figure out the mechanics of how to hold open upper and lower lid. Once I figured that out, it changed my life.

Finally a no-nonsense, quick, and efficient way of balancing, filling, and inserting larger scleral contacts. The ring conveniently slips on your index finger (the plastic is flexible to be manually opened wider if for larger fingers). The scleral lens fits completey and securely in large cup, has four raised ridges inside that provide stable support to avoid spillage. I found by adding a few drops of insertion saline in the cup will not only prevent the lens from sticking to the applicator, but to make sure the outside of the lens is hydrated for comfort after insertion. The ring allows you to get close enough to your eye to quickly plunge the lens to your eye to avoid dreaded air bubbles. You can actually see your eye in the mirror laying on a flat surface so guidance is easier and I can use my dominant hand index finger to insert lenses in both eyes.

I tested over 10 different insertion tools and methods and this is the only one where I didn't have to perform a magic trick to get the contact balanced and centered to fill and avoided spending up to $500 for a lighed stand inserter. I'm currently using 2 drops of preservative-free tears and Nutrifill, which can be expensive to constantly waste. The dreaded insertion process used to take me 20 minutes now takes less than 10 seconds per eye.
