    Another rerun of Miraflow. And oh how we need these extra strength cleaners. 

    Careful, though, please do not use this on a hydra-peg coated lens as it will strip the coating.

    NOTE: Technically, using Sereine ESC for scleral lenses is "off label". That is, it is labeled for use with soft, silicone hydrogel, and hard (i.e. PMMA) lenses; they do not have RGP lenses (which is what scleral lenses are) included in their labeled uses. As with all contact lens solutions, make sure your eye doctor approves what you use!

    CAUTION: The FDA, CDC, AAO and other regulatory and professional organizations strongly recommend against ever rinsing contact lenses of any kind with water. Sereine ESC says on the box that lenses should be rinsed with saline, but in the package insert it says to rinse with water. Dry Eye Shop strongly recommends rinsing with saline only, never water, due to risk of acanthamoeba keratitis.

    Review of Sereine

    I like the thickness of the solution. It feels like it is cleaning without scratching the lenses. However, I do like the Lobob solution, which they do not manufacture anymore.

    Really cleans my gas permeable lens

    I used to use the Boston Cleaner for lens but I feel like the Sereine has a little extra something that really makes them look and feel really clean with no protein deposits whatsoever.

    Sereine works for me

    This is the closest contact lens cleaner I've found to Lobob contact lens cleaner (used it for decades with no problems, now discontinued). I tried several others and some were good, but not as good as this one. Note: I use Sereine Wetting Solution as well. My lenses stay clear; I'm a writer working sometimes into the night.
