I don't have personal experience with this product since I don't wear soft lenses. I initially added it to the shop for the benefit of dry eye and RCE patients using soft "bandage" contact lenses therapeutically and who were having difficulty dealing with removal and replacement. Since then I've had a number of 'ordinary' soft lens users who have shared how much they appreciate the tool.

The DMV® SLH™ has been the industry leader in soft contact lens removal and insertion for more than two decades. It has patented gripper pads which closely align with the eye shape and gently caress the lens surface. This allows comfortable and safe lens removal. Its small end has a shallow cupped indentation that holds the moist lens securely for placement onto the eye. The contact lens wearer can easily and accurately guide the SLH into place while looking in a mirror.

Insertion and removal of soft contact lenses.

Instructions for use

Removal

Press grippers firmly onto front of lens and gently squeeze together to extract the lens from eye. 

Insertion

Place the wet lens on small end and gently press lens onto the central part of the eye. 

Caution

Keep away from small children. Swallowing could cause choking. Do not place the remover directly on the eye. To be used only with healthy corneas. 

Cleaning and care

Wash in warm soapy water. Rinse and air dry.

Must Have For Fake Nails!!!

I have been wearing soft contacts, same brand too, for nearly 20 years and beyond the initial struggles week one, I have not had issues with getting them in and out. I have some clubbed fingers, meaning my natural nails and nailbeds make it pretty much impossible to hurt myself normally. Insert wearing press-on nails sometimes. I stared at my hands, not having a clue how on earth to get them in or out. Rubbing my eyes to get them out wasn't great and insertion was now dangerous. This little tool has really helped whenever I want pretty hands and to see without glasses.

My only critique is that once it gets dirty (think eyeliner/mascara stains), it is impossible to get it clean again. This is my second one and I will be far more diligent about using the case and see if that helps.

Soft Lens Handler

This little tool has been a lifesaver for me! I was having just a terrible time putting in my soft contact lenses, and with this I have no trouble anymore. I even bought a second one to carry in my purse in case I need to remove a lens and reinsert it.

I don't know why nobody told me about this, but a google search took me to your website and I am forever thankfyl!

This tool doesn’t work

This tool is so small and doesn’t work. It might be better if it had a little longer base and wasn’t so flimsy. I couldn’t get my contacts out with this.
