The world's largest sitka spruce is near the banks of Lake Quinault. It's 58' 11" in circumference and is estimated to be about 1,000 years old.

As I look back through all my photos it's amusing that the one thing I didn't take any pictures of at Lake Quinault was Lake Quinault. But here's one from upriver.
And of course one is surrounded by waterfalls, large and small, in this part of the world, especially at this time of the year.
