Mepitac Soft Silicone Tape

My eyes don’t close all the way when I sleep. Usually I use a sleep mask to hold my eyelids shut but unfortunately I haven’t been able to wear it lately because it’s bothering my eczema. This tape has been an amazing alternative and I will definitely continue using it! I’m able to get up multiple times per night, peel back the tape to use the restroom, and reapply no problem. It also hasn’t bothered my skin at all which is a huge plus.

Although reluctant to use tape, goggles didn't provide enough moisture for my eyes. The tape keeps them closed and doesn't take my eyelashes with it when I take it off.

This tape makes a huge difference, in keeping one of my eyes, from drying out so badly at night. I have a few different 'variables', that contribute to my dry eye situation. One of them, is that my eyelid on one eye, does not close all the way at night. Thankfully, this lid issue, is an easy one to address. A small piece of this tape, about 1 inch long, does the trick. It is so easy. And it lifts off very easily in the morning. It makes such a difference in the morning, not to have that stabbing pain in the eye, from dryness.

I work so diligently during the day, to keep my eyes hydrated, that it was frustrating to have the 'open eye lid' all night... undo all the effort during the day.

Next, I am going to work on getting a pair of moisture chamber eye glasses.

Gentle but effective adhesive. Reliably keeps my eyes closed. I do layer an additional strip of paper tape horizontally over these extending from left temple to right temple, for additional security.

The tape itself is a good product. I was hopeful that my dry issue might possibly be that my eyelids do not completely close at night, so I gave this a try. Unfortunately, it did not help with my dryness at night, so most likely eyelid closure is not my issue.
