Dungness spit, mist lifting
Usually when we go to Dungeness Wildlife Refuge it's bright and sunny or dingy grey - always beautiful regardless of the weather. This time we arrive just as the mist is lifting. From the hill we couldn't see much, but by the time we finished our walk we could see almost to the lighthouse.
I always enjoy the driftwood on these Pacific or near-Pacific beaches.

Hurricane Ridge in June
Panos and I drove up to Hurricane Ridge on Sunday morning and took a short hike. There is still a little bit of snow on the shady sides of hills there. There was a "cloud cap" over the mountain peaks but great visibility underneath it. On the way back from Nashville
