Eye Drama 👀

Similarly to people, dogs can often experience eye issues as they age! Drama has a relatively common eye condition called lenticular sclerosis.

Many dogs develop a haze in the lens similar to cataracts as they get older. This is called nuclear sclerosis or lenticular sclerosis, and it causes a bluish haze or cloudiness to form over the pupil. But don’t worry! In most cases vision is not significantly affected, as opposed to more severe conditions like cataracts.

Although the condition is typically diagnosed in older dogs, Drama was diagnosed at a younger age. But no cause for fear - while his vision will become a bit cloudy as he gets older, he won’t suffer any painful symptoms and gets much love and attention here at the Dry Eye Shop!

In the meantime, here are some pictures of Drama and his beautiful eyes!💙Kayaking
