Yesterday afternoon while everyone was enjoying their Superbowl parties, we enjoyed some peace and quiet in Sequim at Dungeness Spit.
The body of water here is the Strait of Juan de Fuca separating the Olympic Peninsula (northwest Washington) from Vancouver Island (BC-Canada). There are often container ships passing through here to or from the port of Seattle.
This skinny strip of sand and driftwood is Dungeness Spit - a 6-mile long wonderful place to walk, with a lighthouse towards one end. On clear days you can see Mt Baker ((>150 miles away) behind the lighthouse.
