I flew down to Los Angeles to attend a medical conference last week and was fortunate enough to not only have a window seat both ways but to be on the right side (well, really left side...) to catch some amazing views.
First, on the way down, was Mount Rainier -
Then, Mount St. Helens
Then, Mount Adams
Walking back to my hotel one evening I was entranced by these succulents in an otherwise pretty dingy downtown setting
On the way home, our flight was routed north past Seattle then did a U-turn and headed south to land. This gave me first a stunning view of Puget Sound with its islands and peninsulas - including home (Poulsbo) followed by a lower, closer view over much of Seattle, the University of Washington and Lake Union, and even got a glimpse of the neighborhood I grew up in near Lake Washington between the two floating bridges.
