It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood.

The proper name for this place is Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge, but we've always called in Dungeness Spit as its prime feature is a 6-mile long sand spit.

The snow from this weekend was enough to shut down FedEx--USPS even skipped delivering to us on Monday. We're expecting the snow to stick around this week. Melanie took these awesome shots from the side of the road this morning on the way in! 

Took a quick hike out to a new waterfall in the area and also stopped to watch the salmon run through a local creek.   

Melanie caught a glimpse of these marvelous mushrooms traveling down the hill to our office.
