This month, we re-priced a number of our products.
We also repriced current subscriptions for the first time since 2018. Some people's subscription prices were waaaay out of date.
Most price increases were minor, around a dollar or two.
Still, we hate raising prices! Especially now while everyone's feeling the effects of inflation! After running the numbers, however, we decided our profit margins weren't high enough for us to be sustainable.
What does that really mean?
We want to be here long term. We want to do the important things that no one else does, like tracking backorders, writing detailed product descriptions and creating articles and videos comparing products, and providing easy-to-reach customer service if you have questions or need help placing an order. We also care about doing well by our great staff and compensating them fairly!
We can't do any of this if our product prices don't cover our costs adequately.
Being a small business, we know we can't compete for the lowest prices on our products. We can, however, stand out when it comes to taking care of our customers and providing excellent information and personal service.
If we can help you with information but you need to shop elsewhere, we completely understand! We're real people after all, and we know it's not always possible to shop at small businesses.
We know just how tough it is to navigate dry eye symptoms, life impact, medical treatments and scleral lenses, financial constraints, AND an overwhelming number of over-the-counter products.
We know we're on the right track when we see new orders and new customers in the system each morning, when we have meaningful interactions with customers, and when we hear feedback and form relationships with people we've helped.
These price updates will help us continue our mission of helping everyone who needs it.
Thank you for your continued support!
