As with the regular Sil-Ophtho, we were asked by a customer to stock this one, so here it is! Thicker version of the original. We recommend always trying the original first.
See manufacturer's notes below for best uses. I would love to hear your feedback to help guide others on the best use of this product, so please post reviews!
SAFETY notice to our dry eye and scleral lens customers: Tempting though you might find it to buy up anything and everything on this site that comes in liquid form, *just* in case it helps your dry eye, please take my word for it that you do not want this one. It is not suitable for use on the cornea or on scleral lenses.
SIL-OPHTHO "H" is a heavy viscosity dimethylpolysiloxane silicone preparation. While it is too viscous for most prosthesis wearers, it is indispensable for some, and should be tried where SIL-OPHTHO (the medium viscosity) has not given adequate relief. Some person with poor lid tonus and, therefore, loosely fitting prosthesis use SIL-OPHTHO "H" continuously while others use SIL-OPHTHO (the medium viscosity) during waking hours, and SIL-OPHTHO "H" during sleep.
A. excessive external discharge if noticed soon after cleansing with the applicator (as in No. 2)
B. Unusual irritation that is not relieved with the usual addition of SIL-OPHTHO.
4. IF THE ARTIFICIAL EYE IS TO BE REMOVED FOR ANY REASON follow these four steps:
A. Wash hands thoroughly with special soap taking care to rinse it off completely
B. Remove the eye as usual and wash it with the soap, using finger tips - again rinse thoroughly
C. Dry the eye with cleansing tissue, then apply SIL-OPHTHO to the front and back surfaces
D. Replace the eye and add one additional drop externally; then follow step #1 above.
If irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult your physician. No refrigeration of this lubricant is necessary .

Sil-Optho H is essentially the best . I live in a very dry climate . This lasts all day long. Just 1 drop in a clean prosthetic eye !
I wish it came in a 5 to 10 mil bottle . after you open any ophthalmic product ; its only good for a limited period of time. The 15 mil bottle is too large and gets thrown out after 4 weeks .
