Beach at Point Defiance Park

I took a little personal getaway this weekend.... I spent almost the entire time catching up on rest so I didn't really go anywhere except a quick drive over to Point Defiance Park and a walk on the beach there.

There were about ten people apparently enjoying themselves in the water and I felt freezing just looking at them. Puget Sound is cold enough in the summer, let alone March.

I love clouds and could stare at them forever. I think that the Pacific Northwest has the best clouds in the world :)

This one's looking east along the beach.

And this is looking northwest towards the Kitsap Peninsula with the south end of Vashon Island to the right:

Sunlight on the mossy trees was also lovely, and I love when little ferns grow on the boughs, though I could not seem to get an angle on these that captured what I was seeing.
