This is my personal favorite lid scrub product. An oldie but a goodie. It's very gentle and silky on my lids. I use it in the shower. For those who want something less messy or that they can use anytime, the individually wrapped pads of the same type of scrub (see link below) will be much more convenient.
If you've got active blepharitis this may not be adequate; you may need an antibacterial of some sort. Talk to your doctor, because there are a lot of lidscrub products on the market at this point, some Rx only, and we have many other "extra strength" or tea tree oil infused ones available OTC here in the shop. But for basic maintenance, this one is hard to beat. (Incidentally if you've been using baby shampoo unsuccessfully for a long time, it's time to move on to something more sophisticated. Baby shampoo can be very irritating when you have dry eye.)
OCuSOFT Lid Scrub Original effectively removes oil, debris, pollen and desquamated skin from the eyelids that may cause eye irritation.
Water, PEG – 80 Sorbitan Laurate, Sodium Trideceth Sulfate, Cocamdopropyl Hydroxysultaine, PEG-150 Distearate, Sodium Lauroamphoacetate, Sodium Laureth-13 Carboxylate, Sodium Cloride, 1, 2- Hexanediol Caprylyl Glycol, Polyaminopropyl Biguanide, Potassium Sorbate, PEG-15 Cocopolymine
OCuSoft Lid Scrub foam is used for maintaining good eyelid hygiene. One of the most common causes of dry eye is blepharitis/meibomian gland dysfunction, where chronic inflammation of the oil glands in the eyelids results in a poor quality tear film that evaporates too fast due to lack of oil in the tear film. Keeping the eyelids clean and free of debris helps maintain healthy meibomian glands. Consult your doctor about whether you can benefit from a lid hygiene product and if so which specific product they recommend. There are many products available, most over the counter but some by prescription only.
For external use only. Wash hands and remove contact lenses prior to use.

This stuff feels pretty nice and plays a key roll in my daily lid hygiene program. I buy the large one and it lives in the shower, which makes it convenient enough that my husband, who has mild MGD but is less enthusiastic about scrubbing his lids, will actually use it too.

My ophthalmologist recommended I start using OcuSoft instead of baby shampoo to clean my eyelids and treat my mild blepharitis. I've been using it for a few years now, morning and evening, and I no longer get the yucky buildup of yellowish debris around the bases of my eyelashes. It's light and foamy, with no fragrance at all, and does the job!

Ocusoft foaming lid cleanser is gentle. Thank you! I tried baby shampoo and suffered from that ill advised recommendation. Ocusoft is a quality product and I highly recommend it.
