Never get stuck without a plunger. 

We've all been there. Well, at least I have, and an awful lot of people in our Facebook scleral lens group have.  It's that sinking feeling when you realize you don't have one and there's no way to get one in less than 24 hours!

Plunger on a Keyring is a repurposed pill case with a DMV Ultra Lens Remover, in its standard plastic case. Many thanks to Cindy E who posted which case she uses, because I had tried many and none of them were quite right!

I find the twist-top threading is a little fussy - please be gentle. But otherwise, it's great!

Additional notes:

  • Plunger colors may vary.
  • If you don't know how to safely remove a scleral lens without a plunger (helpful in an emergency!) make sure to ask your optometrist's office to teach you. There are also Youtube videos about this.
  • If you're out of town without a plunger, try calling round to a few optometry offices near you in case they sell them.

Never leave home without being prepared.

Ever been caught without a plunger? It's almost impossible to remove my lens without a plunger. This one is hanging on my key ring just in case.
