Caught between summer and fall while camping this weekend in the Rainier foothills. We had sun at Alder Lake, clear skies for stopping on the Nisqually River, stargazing and cooking on the campfire. We had rain overnight, woke up to the scenic railroad train passing camp, and went on a great hike to two of the falls on the Little Mashel River without too many other people!
