This is really an excellent heat pack that I liked more than I expected to. 

I was surprised at how much I ended up liking the structured aspect of this mask compared to the usual floppy "beanbag" style compresses. The construction makes good sense and is very user friendly. The main mask structure is similar in style and material to the electric heat mask and the Gen2 sleep mask. As with all Blinkjoy products, the eyecups on this one are separate from the overall mask structure - you can slide them on from the ends and move them to the position that best suits. 

When I first tried this product, I confess I did not read the instructions and plopped the whole thing in the microwave. Actually, even if I had read the instructions I still would have done so because removing the eye cups seemed like far too much trouble. Of course, I discovered afterwards how very easy it is to remove them, so I've heated just the eye cups since then. (But... I still don't really understand why I should have to and honestly, if I keep using it like that I will use a sharpie to mark the position of the eye cups because trying to get them positioned correctly each and every time is a bit fussy.)

This mask gets really nice and steamy. (No added moisture needed.)

The eye cups are very well designed. They are bulky - which helps with heat retention - but, contrary to expectation, they don't press down on your eyes. At least for me! I would always advise caution to anyone with prominent eyes - test it out to make sure.

The heat retention is great. 

Since the quality of this product far outstrips the classic microwaveables that are available for $20-$25 under so many brands, I do not consider $40 excessive for the Blinkjoy moist heat compress.

Directions 

• Remove eye compresses
• Microwave for 20-seconds. To increase heat, microwave in 5-second increments. Do not exceed 30-seconds in total.
• If reused within 30 minutes, reduce heating time by half.
• Always touch-test heat level before placing over eyes. If the compress feels too hot, remove immediately and wait 1-2 minutes before reapplying.

Care
