RSVP Onion Goggles

Inexpensive option to see if moisture chamber glasses will be effective. These are lightweight and very helpful for my dry eye when out in cold and wind. I would definitely recommend.

For years it was crying time when it came to chopping onions. These work great!!! No more tears!

I have owned these for a year now, and I've used them on and off as needed.

They're for smaller heads! I thought I was a pretty small-headed person (for reference I'm a 5'5 woman, I consider myself decently petite), and these ends dig into my skull.

The foamy material is also quite irritating on the skin. I don't have any kind of skin sensitivities, so trust me, this will happen to you, too.

The lens itself also isn't obviously made of the kind of material you get from real glasses, so the visual acuity loss is pretty irritating considering I'm used to the crisp experience.

However, using these $25 glasses has allowed me to evaluate my needs and how helpful these are. I'm planning to upgrade to the Ziena's now. I wouldn't have ever made the $200 commitment without these $25 pairs to convince me that moisture chamber goggles are more effective for me than hourly eye drops.

I highly recommend getting these if you're small headed (or even medium head sized, you can't wear them all day, but you can for a few hours) and skeptical if moisture chamber goggles will make a difference for your comfort.

As always, I would like to thank the dry eye shop for exposing me to ideas I've never heard of for relieving symptoms. I've learned so much by being a member of this website, email newsletter, and by corollary, the community.

These had the best foam layer from the three glasses I have tried. The only issue with my head/face, was that they slide down my nose and don't stay up where they belong. So I tried melting the arms a bit to keep them up. This worked pretty good, only I made them too tight and do not want to try and melt them again. They are also slightly narrow for my head, which is on the 7 3/8 side, so can only wear them for a bit before I get a bit of a headache. But they definitely do the best job of keeping moisture in and dry air out if you can them to mold to your face.

I did not purchase this product from dryeyeshop but I thought it would help others to hear a review. I recently purchased these goggles and I was surprised with how large they were on my face, since I have a large head/face. They kept slipping off. If I pushed them onto my face they made a nice, humid chamber, but unfortunately the fit prevented that from maintaining.

The other thing is that the foam padding was rather irritating on my skin. I don't know if the foam has latex in it or not, but that might be a factor for some people.

Finally, they did fog up. It may be because I was adding eye drops prior to putting them on, which is not typical use since these are onion goggles, but if one wants to use them to watch TV or something, eye drops definitely causes visibility to be very low.
