This is the "stand-only" kit option for See-Green®™' brand's redesigned lens insertion stand. Click here for the version with an integrated light.

What's new about the 2.0 stand?

Here's what you can expect compared to the original See-Green Stand:

• Taller: 4" without plunger (compared to 2")
• Smaller footprint, but flared for stability.
  
• Lighter weight: The material is not as heavy as the original PVC stands, and even though it is larger, it is lighter.

Overall, this is a major improvement over the original and I think a lot of people will be happier with this taller stand. At the same time, with every product upgrade, there are people who miss the original one.

The combination of "taller and lighter" means that it will move more easily, and it does not have non-slip feet, so you may want to set it on something that keeps it from sliding.

Plunger compatibility

You can use pretty much any standard-shaped hollow insertion plunger with this stand - the See-Green Plungers or the DMV Vented Plungers. A See-Green Plunger is included with this kit.

Indications

This product is for those who don’t find the light necessary, but need to use two hands to keep lids spread wide.

• Gives a stable platform for preparing the lens.
• Some patients who can spread the lids with one hand use this product to get close to the plunger before lifting it up, thereby reducing the distance to travel and reducing the risk of bubbles from fluid spilling out along the way.

1. Place plunger in the stand in the upright position
2. Place the lens on the plunger lightly without generating suction. Overfill your lens with saline recommended by your doctor to improve your chances of a bubble-free application. Let the saline drip, not stream, into the lens.
3. The lid spread is everything. Hold open eyelids using both hands. Look straight down. Lower your head smoothly and steadily while focusing on the hold in the plunger until you will feel the fluid. Press your eye downward onto the lens. Capture the lens with the eyelids by releasing the lids. Lift up your head, and hte lens will come off the plunger if there isn't too much suction. 
4. Check for bubbles. Using a mirror in a well-lit setting, check for the presence of bubbles. If bubbles are present, the lens must be removed with DMV remover and reapplied. See DMV remover instructions that came with your product.
