SKU: STSR Regular
SleepTite/SleepRite is an oval-shaped adhesive strip designed to seal your eyelid closed at night. There is a tab at one end for ease of removal. It's intended to be applied horizontally. Over the past couple of years, every now and then I have heard from someone who really likes it, so I decided to stock it partly to help raise awareness as there are not very many products available in this product niche.
Make sure to read the directions carefully because it really will make a difference to how STSR performs for you.
If you have no experience taping your lids down, you may appreciate the following context:
Bottom line, you should expect to do some experimenting before settling on an acceptable solution. What works for someone else may not work for you, and vice versa.
Pros: The advantage of SleepTite/SleepRite is user-friendliness: you can avoid the hassle of cutting up unwieldy strips of tape, and you can remove it more easily than tape in the morning. There are two versions to choose from - standard and sensitive skin. Personally, I found the standard version very tolerable i.e. it has not bothered my skin.
Limitations: Size and stickiness. First, size: These are not huge ovals. For some people the size will be ample and for others it may feel limiting, particularly in terms of height. Check out the pictures where Jack and Alisha modeled it. Second, sticky-wise, there's a standard version and a "sensitive skin" version. Please note the detailed instructions about not just refraining from using ointment at night but ensuring clean lids before applying the strips. For me personally, the sensitive skin version did not stick well enough and in fact even with the standard one I had to practice some nights before getting it to work out. However, I have heard from others who find it works fine for them.
Regular vs Sensitive Skin: Hard choice. I think a lot of us women-over-50 would automatically choose the Sensitive Skin one, but I tried both repeatedly and honestly, even though I'm somewhat sensitive to adhesives, I was happier with the regular one, which stuck down much better and didn't irritate my skin.
What to expect: SleepTite/SleepRite comes as a small box with a stack of adhesive strips. They are not individually wrapped. They have detailed instructions - please make sure to read them.
Broadly speaking, I think this is a good user-friendly entry-level product for people who have never taped a lid down but who have reason to believe taping would benefit them, such as people with nocturnal lagophthalmos. I also think some current tape users could potentially benefit from the switch, in terms of user-friendliness, if the price is not too much of a deterrent.

SleepTite/SleepRite™ is a non-pharmaceutical, mechanical, therapeutic treatment that is used to address the root cause of the inflammation in your eyes. The material is both latex free and hypoallergenic. Each SleepTite/SleepRite box contains 30 pair of single use, interchangeable Lid Seals. Studies have shown that by using SleepTite/SleepRite™ patients can get relief from the discomfort caused by their eyelids not closing properly during sleep. Users have noted that SleepTite/SleepRite™ is well tolerated and gentle on eyelashes and tissue around the eye.
The proper placement of SleepTite/SleepRite™ on your eye will be critical to your success with the product. If you are not accustomed to having your eyes occluded at night it is best to start using SleepTite/SleepRite™ on one eye, until you are comfortable and readily capable of handling its removal and replacement on the eye in the event you have to get up during the evening. Most eye doctors will start the patient off using SleepTite/SleepRite™ on the eye that bothers them the most and have them do that for at least 30 days. This will give you ample time to work out your nighttime routine and also give you experience with the continued proper removal and replacement of the eye seal during actual nighttime use. If you are a patient used to using other products that occlude both eyes, you should still only start using SleepTite/SleepRite™ after you have practiced removing and subsequently reapplying at least one of the devices when you need to get up at night.
SleepTite/SleepRite™ is a single-use, hypoallergenic, latex-free device intended to hold the eye closed to prevent Nocturnal Evaporative Stress due to inadequate lid closure.

I have severe dry eye and use a cpap. I use an eco eye mask, but still found myself battling air seeping under and dry eyes. I’ve tried over a dozen masks and none worked well enough. This product completely solved the problem.

These are lightweight night-time eye lid patches that work well for me. They have side tabs that make it easy to put them on and take them off. They have "regular" adhesive ones and "sensitive adhesive ones, which make it a good choice for those with really sensitive skin. The adhesive doesn't leave a real gummy residue on the eyelid skin. What residue is left over after sleeping with them on is easily washed off. These eyelid seals help to keep my eyelids closed at night. Part of my dry eye problem is due to partially closed eyelids at night. I do recommend these.

I have found these lid seals to be quite effective at holding moisture in and keeping my eyes closed throughout the night, because my eyelids don't close properly while I sleep. At first they did pull out some of my lashes when I would take them off in the morning, but I started putting castor oil on my lashes at night so the adhesive doesn't stick to them, and it works very well. I am ordering again!

The package arrived the next day via FedEx, but it doesn’t stick. I even blow-dry around my eyes to make sure the area is dry, and I use wipes to clean it thoroughly. I even tried using two on each eye, but I can still see the light. I had surgery and my eyes don’t close, so I really need this to work. I watched several YouTube videos on how to use it properly, but it's just not sticky.
