Who is Rebecca?

The latest product in the Myze collection. Single-use lid warmers (or steam masks as some vendors call them) are certainly picking up steam - everyone is jumping on the bandwagon.

This one has no special standout features, but at 15 to a package it's good value for money. I tested some to make sure the heat consistently lasts as long as all the other ones I've tried, and it certainly seemed to.

For those who are new to this product type - 

As soon as you open the wrapper for one (they are packaged individually) it starts heating up. It has little fold-out thingies that go around your ears to hold it on your face. You will need to hold the pads down on your lids to get the full benefit of the heat. While certainly not "hot", it gets to a good temperature and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at how long it stays warm.

Key features / benefits

1. Self-heating

The masks contain powder compartments similar to hand warmers. Each mask is folded and sealed in a foil wrapper. It starts heating up as soon as you tear open the wrapper.

For comparison, the other type of self-heating warm compresses are "instant" - the ones with a metal "snap" disk that that you flick back and forth to activate. Those have to be boiled after each use to reset them. (Examples: ThermoEyes, EyeCloud.)

2. Travel friendly

I think these disposable masks are great for travel. No microwave needed, no USB outlet, no hot water, no boiling. Carry a couple pouches on the plane - and keep some with you if you don't expect to have a microwave available (or aren't sure).

3. Lightweight 

For people who cannot tolerate weight on their lids, this is the ideal warm compress. For some people, the weight of a classic microwavable compress causes excessive vision blurring, so this featherweight mask is a good alternative.

4. No maintenance

If you find that you're not putting in the effort to keep a warm compress clean, disposable ones may be a better option at times.

Drawbacks

Waste (individual packaging).

Temperature limited. This, of course, is a good feature when it comes to safety, but some people will feel that the temperature of the disposable masks is not high enough.

Ingredients

Directions for use

1. Open - Tear open the sachet. Air activates the heating element instantly. Allow 2-4 minutes to heat up to peak temperature
2. Place- Lay back and place The Reset over your closed eyes. The contoured mask sits against your lid margins
3. Reset- Relax for up to 20 minutes or as recommended by your doctor
4. Discard- Single-use, hygienic. Dispose after use

Storage

Store unopened foil sachets in a cool, dark place. Avoid direct sunlight.
